  • Tag <html> is considered to be the head of the family. It is from this tag that browsers recognise you are referencing an Html document.

  • The tag <html> is followed by the <head> tag - The content written inside head tag is not displayed on the web page but as search results.

  • Inside <head> tag is the <title> - It comprises of browser window and details/title of the page.

Using Title Tag - E.g

  • The tag is followed by tag - where the actual content that is visible on the webpage is written, such as headings, images etc.
Using Body Tag - E.g

  • All HTML documents must be saved with a .html or .htm file extension. E.g - index.html, about.htm, contact.htm. Either can be used with no advantages over the other.
